Allosaurus was the most common carnivorous dinosaur of the Jurassic Period in North America. Although a medium-sized theropod, it was the top predator of its time—equipped with sharp, pointed, serrated teeth ideal for tearing flesh. See the skeleton of Allosaurus feasting on Camptosaurus in our Dinosaur Hall.
